The Love Boat is a series of delightful jewellery with a subtle romantic gesture. Each dreamy sail boat is inscribed with 'loveboat' in lower case oxidised silver, and has a silver & gold vermeil dangle fish. The earrings have several 14k gold vermeil details on both sides including the mast and the fish. The french hooks are solid sterling silver & the earrings will come packaged in a lovely gift pouch. The Love Boat series was designed and hand drawn by One Button founder Amanda, and then translated into sterling silver by a silversmith.
For our 925 sterling silver jewellery we use 14 carat solid gold of at least 2.5 microns thickness. Vermeil is a technique originating in the 19th century where gold was applied to sterling silver. Vermeil is 5 times thicker than normal gold plate (which can tarnish & wear off) and therefore far more durable for your jewellery.
