Cumberland is our cheeky and cute sausage dog with oxidised silver spotty details & a 14k gold vermeil heart on his nose. These earrings are 3D and so it doesn't matter which way they hang; they are the same from each angle. The french hooks are solid sterling silver & will come packaged in a lovely gift pouch. Cumberland was designed and hand drawn by One Button founder Amanda, and then translated into sterling silver by a silversmith.
 
For our 925 sterling silver jewellery we use 14 carat solid gold of at least 2.5 microns thickness. Vermeil is a technique originating in the 19th century where gold was applied to sterling silver. Vermeil is 5 times thicker than normal gold plate (which can tarnish & wear off) and therefore far more durable for your jewellery.
